I don’t know what’s sillier — the controversy itself, or the fact that everybody in New Jersey apparently feels the need to cover this story. From CBS3:

A controversy is brewing in one Jersey shore town over a racy poster that features bikini clad women in warm winter boots. The ad, which is featured in the front window of Cheater 5’s Skate & Surf shop in Tuckerton, caused some heated emotions at a council meeting Wednesday evening…

“The problem with the poster in my mind is that it doesn’t fit into what we are trying to accomplish regarding zoning and the revitalization of Main Street,” Councilwoman Liz Moritz said. “An old wooden surfboard I think would really fit quite nicely.”

Tuckerton is considered an historic landmark borough and Moritz is working to restore scenic beauty to Route 9, the Main Street… The next meeting aimed at removing sign clutter in the borough is scheduled for Monday night.
