A former Hooters waitress failed to land her dream job as a bikini-clad barmaid at the Hawaiian Tropic Zone restaurant in Manhattan because, she claims in a newly filed lawsuit, she didn’t “speak white.” She was told her Latin accent was too heavy and would hurt business.
Personally, I would think that between reading the menu and looking at Melody in her bikini, very little would need to be said — by either Melody or her customers. Judgment for the plaintiff. Case dismissed.
