Report: Worldwide Financial Crisis Has Had No Impact on Bikini Sales
Do your eyeballs a favor and subscribe to Bikini Beat's RSS feed. No nudity, no obscenity -- just beautiful women in bikinis. Safe for most workplaces.
Thank God for that. And thanks to The Australian for finding it necessary to file this report:
IT was born out of the troubled times of World War II, so perhaps it’s no surprise the bikini is surviving the global credit crunch unscathed.
As people scale back their summer holiday plans to cheap trips to the beach, the only issue to be sorted is how to look good.
“People might not be able to afford to go on overseas holidays but they can afford $100 for a bikini to go to the local beach,” Seafolly swimwear chief executive Anthony Halas said yesterday. “It’s almost embarrassing to say, but our sales are up 32 per cent on last year.”
A beachside kiosk at Nielsen Park in Sydney’s Vaucluse was the venue yesterday when Seafolly presented its new summer collection.
That’s famous Seafolly model Cheyenne Tozzi, btw.
